DIY Fall Wreath

 01 October 2011

Continuing on with the theme of Fall decorations inspired by Pinterest, today I tackled a wreath. Yes, once again, instead of mopping the floors and folding the laundry during Autumn's nap this afternoon, I rolled rosettes out of felt. I have to tell you, I did feel accomplished once this wreath was complete, dirty floors and all.

I started by cutting different sized circles out of the left over felt from the "Fall Door Hanging" project. I cut out about 15 circles per color.

Then I grabbed all of my circles, made myself a comfortable spot on the couch, turned on mindless reality television and starting rolling (see rosette tutorial here).

Once all of the rosettes were done, I laid them out on the wreath (which I purchased at Hobby Lobby, half off, for a total of $2.50! Score!) to decide where I wanted to place each one. Once I had them all in place I glued them on using a hot glue gun.

And there you have it!

So while my floors may be messy and the laundry unfolded, my doors and walls are ready for Fall!
