Kid-o-Ween

 23 October 2011

Yesterday Autumn and I accompanied Steve's family (unfortunately, Steve had to work) to a nearby theme park called Wild Adventures. During October they hold "Kid-o-Ween", which consists of everything the park usually offers with some Halloween themed activities mixed in.

Autumn had several firsts during our trip! She carried her first plastic pumpkin bucket and rode her first roller coaster! She was more excited about the roller coaster, until she realized that when she carried her pumpkin around, people put candy in it!

Autumn also had her face painted for the first time. I was worried that she would not sit still long enough, but once the painting started she was frozen in place. The pumpkin that  she chose lasted long enough to get a picture of before Autumn quickly wiped her cheek with the sleeve of her shirt. Oh well, at least we got the picture, right?

Next to the roller coaster, Autumn's favorite ride was the carousel. She squealed with delight as the horse went up and down, as long as I live I will adore the sound of my daughter's excited squeal.

It was a crisp, fall day. There was a hay maze and a "Monster Mash" dance party. It was Halloween everywhere, I loved it.

Autumn woke up this morning looking for her pumpkin bucket, I guess I better break out the candy!
