Autumn, you are talking so much now it is hard for your Dada and I to keep up! Everyday I hear a new word or two that I did not know you knew!
You still like Mickey and Minnie Mouse, but your current love is Elmo. You know all of the characters in Sesame Street and will say them by name as they appear on the screen at the beginning of the show, "There's Elmo, There's Big Bird, There's Ernie, There's Grover".
You have pretty much mastered feeding yourself ( I finally had to let go, leave the room, and let you make the mess you were dying to make!) You are a picky eater, which drives Mama crazy! There are days when you will eat everything in sight and other days when you want nothing except Fruit Loops and Goldfish!
You're obsession with shoes has ended (I think). There are some days when I have a hard time even getting you to put a pair of shoes on, which is a fun conversation to have with an almost two year old, in the middle of December!
At Christmas this year you helped Mama and Dada decorate the Christmas tree! You love seeing all of the Christmas lights hanging on houses as we drive by. Each time you look out the car window and see the lights you say, "Again!" You were not too excited about your visit with Santa this year, but you did sit long enough to get your picture taken with Mama and Dada. When I asked you what you told Santa you wanted for Christmas you said, "Elmo!".
You are very independent and prefer to walk then be carried. You are strong-willed, loving, and funny. You love playing outside, getting nail polish painted on your toes and splashing in the bath tub.
Autumn, in two months you will be two years old. I am so thankful that I get to wake you up every morning and put you to bed every night. Thank you for picking me to be your Mama.

That picture is priceless! Autumn is so cute! Her smile always makes me smile. I think she is blessed to have you as a mommy and to have this blog to remind her of how you were feeling in all of these wonderful moments!
ReplyDeleteBoy oh boy she is cute!! Great post Kim, I am sure Autumn will love reading this when she is grown up! Her love of Elmo may have changed by then but her love for you will remain the same xo
