Awesome Possum!

 09 December 2011

It's Friday! And while that is reason to celebrate all on it's own, I am extra excited this morning! Jennifer over at Momma Made It Look Easy has featured me in her "Share Your Awesome" blog hop!

I adore Jennifer's blog! Her posts are honest, funny, witty, and thought provoking. She tells it like it is, the good the bad and the ugly, and I love that. So, hop on over to Momma Made It Look Easy and see how awesome Jennifer is firsthand and why not "Share Your Awesome" while you're there!

This has been a pretty long and stressful week at work, so needless to say, I am thrilled that it is coming to an end for a few days! It is during weeks like this one when I am so thankful for Steve and Autumn. I can come home cranky and uptight and between the two of them, one will have me laughing before the night is threw.

Take last night for example, I was hurriedly picking up Autumn's room before getting her ready for her bath and bed time. I was in my own world, running through my list of to-do's in my head, when I heard Autumn repeating something over and over again. I turned around to find her sitting in front of one of her toys, pointing, and saying "I put fruits in there."

Now, for those of you who do not speak Autumnese (the name our nieces gave to Autumn's ever growing, sometimes hard to decipher vocabulary) , "fruits" are what Autumn calls Fruit Loops, one of her favorite snacks. I walked over to find that Autumn had apparently dumped her afternoon snack inside her toy.

Seeing this was enough to snap me out of my haze of to-do's and laugh. "Yup, you sure did put fruits in there", I said. To which she proudly smiled and laughed.

Next week's post: How I got the "fruits" out, and another "To-Do" is added to the list!
