Dinner a la Pinterest

So, I have jumped on the Pinterest bang wagon. I was warned by several people of the consequences of signing up, but I threw all caution to the wind and did anyway. I can now say I have been sucked into the black hole that is Pinterest, like everyone else. It is amazing the amount of time you can spend on one website!

So yes, I have found myself getting lost in the world of Pinterest during Autumn's nap, when I had every intention to fold the laundry. And yes, I have completely remodeled my home, landscaped my front and backyards and planned out several multi-course meals, all courtesy of Pinterest.

So Pinterest, I would like to thank you. Thank you for making me feel like I can be that crafty, multi-tasking, do-it-yourself woman. The one who always has a  perfectly prepared meal (and dessert) on the table, house decorated top to bottom for the nearest holiday, all while maintaining a stylish wardrobe and perfect hair.

After spending more time then I would like to admit admiring the hundreds of recipe pins I have collected I decided that today was the day to try a few! Autumn has just recently become interested in Sesame Street, so I thought it would be fitting to make the "Cookie Monster Cupcake"

It was extremely easy and Autumn was thrilled when she saw the final product! Next up, was dinner and dessert for tonight. I went with two recipes that both seemed manageable for someone not so fluent in the kitchen.

 For dinner we had a "Cheesy Chicken Lasagna". While this did take a little longer to bake then I had expected it was well worth the wait. As my husband said, "Keep this recipe within reach". "Cream Cheese Cookie Dough Bars" are what I went with for dessert. This recipe was so easy and came out looking like it took way more time then it did. I will definitely be using this one again!


Needless to say, dinner was a successful meal this evening. Although, I have a feeling my husband may be wondering when the laundry is going to get folded. I'll just tell him I haven't found a pin for that!
