Just as I had suspected our "Bath time Battles" were just a phase and Autumn is back to being excited about taking a bath. Although some nights it does take a little coaxing to get her in there, once she's there it becomes a toddler sized pool party, splashing and all.
Recently, Autumn has been fascinated with lining up her bath toys along the ledge of the tub. She will pull each toy out one by one and once she has placed each one in it's spot she quickly knocks them all down, smiles, claps, and starts the process over rearranging them in a different order each time.
Once Autumn is satisfied that her toys are in their appropriate place the splashing begins. Splashing with her hands, splashing with her feet, splashing herself, splashing me. I haven't figured out if her goal is to see how high she can get the water to go, or how wet she can make me in the process. Either way, she is thoroughly entertained.
Thankfully, the tide did turn and bath time has turned back into what it was. An enjoyable time for both Autumn and myself before winding down and going to bed. I would take a few minutes in Autumn's "Splash Zone" over visiting a water park any day.
