Happiness as defined by the Merriam-Webster online dictionary is, "A state of well being and contentment. A pleasurable or satisfying experience."
In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, pick ups and drops offs, errands, grocery shopping, it is easy to forget what brings us happiness. Not the things that just get us through one day and onto the next, but those things that make you stop in your tracks and think, "That makes me happy". So in an effort to remind myself, here are a few of mine.
Watching Autumn sleep brings me immense happiness. Knowing that she feels safe, secure and is comfortable. When I watch her sleep I feel like Steve and I are succeeding at our job.
The realization that comes when I open my eyes every Saturday morning and realize that it is not a work day and I can do whatever I want, all day long.
The feeling of accomplishment I get when I have finished cleaning the house from top to bottom. It doesn't happen often, but does make me very happy when it does.
Pulling into our driveway. It was a long time coming, but 7 years and 6 moves later Steve and I are homeowners. This brings me happiness. Seeing the tree we planted in our front yard and the flowers I picked out hanging from the front porch reminds me of what I work for everyday.
Sleeping through a thunderstorm.
Family. The loud, obnoxious, nagging, nosey, hysterical, supportive, helpful, loving members of our families. It makes me happy to know that Autumn will be molded by these people, they did after all, have a hand in the way Steve and I turned out!
Being responsible for making someone else laugh. Especially if that someone else is my husband or daughter.
These are just a few of mine, and a nice reminder of what's important. Thank you Jade at No longer 25, for helping me to take the time to remember!

I was nodding in agreement with what makes you happy. Nice post! Visiting from Jade's link
