This year Autumn is almost a year and a half. We celebrated the holiday at our friend's house, eating, swimming and setting off fireworks outside in the street. It was exactly the way I remember spending the 4th of July growing up. Autumn got to swim, chase the dogs in the yard, had her toes painted for the first time and laughed at the shooting colors flying into the air.
I notice everyday how much Autumn has grown and is growing, but it is days like today, when I can look back and remember exactly where we were, what we were doing and how tiny she was, that it really hits home.
Holidays have always been fun, but they are so much more enjoyable when you get to experience them through your children!
