Her first class was yesterday evening and she loved every minute of it, as did I. The best part about this class, for me, is that we do it together. There are around 8 kids in Autumn's class, each with one parent and the young, patient instructor, so we are a smaller group.
For our first class the kids started out by "warming up". Autumn watched and copied each of the instructor's moves, turning around to smile at me every few minutes. They practiced touching their toes, jumping up and down, stretching their legs from side to side, and various other gymnasticy (yes, that's a word) moves. I was impressed by how well Autumn listened and copied the instructor's motions.
After warm-ups, the instructor showed the kids several stations that were set up and what they needed to do at each one. The kids were really good about taking turns and everyone was able to do each station at least once.
By the end of our thirty-minute class Autumn was just getting started. As I expected, she didn't want to leave, until I reminded her that next week we get to come back and do it all over again!
