DIY: Glitter Shoes

 02 January 2012

My sister has recently joined the world of Pinterest and like everyone else I know, has become addicted. Yesterday, she posted pictures of her most recent project, glitter shoes, inspired by this Pin. I took one look at her pictures and knew I had to be a copy cat and make my own glitter shoes!

You will need:

One pair of cheap flats (the color doesn't matter, once the glitter is applied you won't be able to see the color anyway.), Glitter, Modge Podge, a sealer spray, sponge brush and disposable plate.

Begin by mixing the Modge Podge with the Glitter.

Coat the shoes with the Modge Podge/Glitter mixture. You will need to let each coat dry completely before applying the next coat. It took me three coats to cover these, with a few touch ups at the end.

Spray the shoes with the sealer spray and enjoy!

  2. Cute! What kind of sealer sis you use? Are you having any trouble with the glitter rubbing off?

Love it - Thanks for sharing!

  3. Those are so cute. I'm really surprised how great they turned out. I saw a pin like that and thought, "yeah right," but they look awesome.
