Here we go Again!

 21 June 2012

I can now officially say that my "Baby Fever" has broken. Almost eight weeks ago Steve and I found out that we are expecting Baby #2! This Saturday I will be exactly 12 weeks pregnant!

We are over the moon excited and have started having all of the same conversations we had three years ago when I was pregnant with Autumn. Gender guesses and name debates are hot topics in our house right now! We've told the news to Autumn, but are not entirely sure that she completely understands what is going to happen. She knows what a baby is and loves to take care of her baby dolls ( and of course, Elmo ) but as far as a real baby being in her house, all the time, well that's not something she is familiar with. Yet.

She loves to talk to and lay on my stomach. She tells the baby her name, and about her favorite TV shows. She has also told the baby that she is it's "Big Sister". Just watching her melts my heart.

So far this pregnancy has been very different from my first one. For the first 8 weeks or so I experienced mild morning sickness, with Autumn I had no morning sickness whatsoever. Recently, my face has been breaking out and I have been getting day-long headaches. Again, neither are something that I had with Autumn. To be honest, without seeing Autumn in the ultrasounds, I would never have known I was pregnant. I had very few symptoms at all. One thing that has been the same in both is the exhaustion. Around 2 o'clock everyday I start yawning and by 8, I am out cold.

The beginning of August is when we will be finding out the sex of the baby. I admire those that are able to wait and experience the ultimate surprise, but I am definitely not one of them! I will be counting down the days until that ultrasound in anticipation! I am not hoping for one sex over another ( really, I'm not ), but I do know that we have absolutely no boy names picked out.

And now, for the first belly shot!
