Mama Autumn

In the past, I have mentioned how much Autumn loves babies. "Baby" was included in the first handful of words that she learned. If we are out and about and she sees a baby, she makes sure to let me know. This also applies to babies on television. Needless to say, I hear "Mama there's a baby" often.

The word got out about Autumn's love of babies (wonder how that happened) and she received several baby dolls for her birthday. She is now the proud Mama to a Baby Cinderella, Baby Rapunzel, a "Bath Baby", made to be played with in the bath tub, and a baby doll that Autumn has lovingly named "Baby Doll". She's original, I know.

Although these babies are all beautiful and do get showered with attention, there is one "Baby" that has been getting tended to more lately than all the others. His name? Elmo.

Yes, Elmo is a baby too. Just like all babies Elmo gets fed a bottle and has regular diaper changes. When he is upset he gets a pacifier. He takes naps, during which we must be quiet and whisper, and gets wheeled around the house in his stroller. Elmo is Autumn's baby.

I can see what an awesome older sister Autumn is going to be by watching her tend to Elmo and all of her other babies. I just hope that her love for diaper changes and bottle feedings lasts!
