I want to stay home and bake cookies and get my craft on.
Yet here I am, going over lists and lists in my head. There are shopping lists, Nate's birthday party to-do list, the list of things I need to host Christmas morning and the list of activities I plan on somehow squeezing in the middle of all of this madness. Santa may have the naughty and nice list but I have every other list known to man.
Oh, and about those activities. There are Christmas parties, Nate's first birthday party, Autumn's Christmas program at school, a visit with Santa, a trip to ohhh and ahhh over Christmas lights...
and that's just in the first two weeks.
Let's not even discuss that damn "Elf on the Shelf". I may have woken out of a sound sleep once or twice because I forgot to move her to the next location.
I do not get overwhelmed easily. I am usually pretty good at juggling all. the. things. and in the end everything gets done. This year not so much. I am feeling rushed and frazzled. Rushed and frazzled is not a good look for me.
And in case you are thinking "Just get through December then things will calm down."
Nope. Autumn's birthday is right around the corner. Whose idea was it to have two children with birthdays so close together?
So, I will leave you with two Christmas crafts I completed over the weekend (I told you, I want to stay home and bake cookies and get my craft on).
Here's hoping your holiday preparations are a little less rushed and frazzled than mine!
