Our Easter festivities started the Saturday before, with Autumn helping me make Easter cookies. It still counts if the cookies are peel and stick, right?
Later that afternoon we had family and friends over to our house to dye Easter eggs. Last year, at just over a year old, Autumn wasn't that interested in the egg dying process. This year, at just over two years old, Autumn wasn't that interested in the egg dying process. She watched Steve and I dye a few eggs, peered over her cousins as they dyed a few eggs, and then decided she was over it. She spent most of the time sitting in a patio chair happily eating her snack.
Sunday morning, Autumn discovered the basket the Easter bunny had left outside her bedroom door and got to work digging through her goodies! She loved the Cinderella figure and bottle of colored bubbles. The Elmo eggs were a hit too!

After looking through her basket and sneaking a few early morning M&M's, Autumn got to work finding all of the eggs the Easter bunny had hidden throughout the house. It was fun watching her look high and low, under the couch, under the television and in every corner for the colored eggs. With each egg she found the squeal of excitement was louder and louder, she was so proud! Once all of the eggs had been discovered, it was time to get ready for church, followed by lunch at MeMe's house. There was another Easter egg hunt before lunch, but this time the eggs were hidden outside and filled with money (one dime in each egg!)
As I watched Autumn running through her MeMe's yard with her cousins, trying to find as many eggs as possible, I remembered my little one year old, who precariously walked through the same yard just a year before. What a difference one year makes!
We had a fabulous Easter filled with family and friends and I hope you did too!
